Find out the type and quantity of oil your vehicle takes. (See owner’s manual or google)

Get the required tool to remove your drain plug and oil filter.

Get a drain pan.

Buy oil and filter. (See auto parts store, Walmart…)

Drive your car for about 5 minutes to warm up the oil. (warm oil drains faster)

find a way to raise the front of your vehicle to make it easy to access the drain plug and filter, if it’s located under your vehicle. (I recommend using a ramp)

Remove the drain plug to drain the oil from your engine.

Remove the filter. The filter also contains oil.

Put the drain plug back and replace the washer if necessary.

Replace the oil filter with a new one.

Put the right amount of oil back into your engine.

Drive it for a few minutes and inspect your work to make sure there are no leaks.
